The Kingdom of Heaven Is Within Explained

In this article I will explain my interpretation of the mysterious saying of Jesus found in the Gospel of Thomas.

Here is the passage:

Jesus saw children who were being suckled. He said to his disciples: These children who are being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom. They said to Him: Shall we then, being children, enter the Kingdom? Jesus said to them: When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, so that the male will not be male and the female not be female, when you make eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in the place of a hand, and a foot in the place of a foot, and an image in the place of an image then shall you enter the Kingdom.

I really like this passage because it relates to the saying of Yeshua that the Kingdom of Heaven is within. Unfortunately, further explanation about the inner Kingdom of Heaven is not found in our official bibles as powers of darkness do not want us to be born again – because this makes us inheritors of the Kingdom of Heaven.Read more…

Gospel is the good news of the kingdom of God (Mark 1:14). And that good news is that the kingdom of God is near. This is the actual gospel – that the kingdom of God is near. The gospel is not that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, but that soon God will come down from heaven to rule the earth.Read more…

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand

In this post I will try to explain how I understand what the kingdom of God is, and explain Jesus’ words about the Kingdom of God being in us.

When we look up the Greek word “kingdom”, we find that it usually means “rule” or “dominion”, and not an actual physical kingdom. This is important, and to really understand many verses of the Bible about the kingdom, it’s better to replace that word with the mentioned nouns or the noun “royal power”.Read more…
